Mini Pack Cross Body in Forest Green Cactus Leather
The Mini Pack is just the right size for a night out or day of travel, this style can be worn across the front allowing easy access and for security while traveling or across your back and worn like a cross body backpack. Handmade from cactus leather and combined with one of a kind unique linings hand drawn and digitally designed by Jillian Darnell. Each bag is machine quilted by manually marking each row before machine stitching each line to create a grid pattern. Each bag has a layer of light padding quilted between the lining and exterior material. All rivets and hardware are solid brass. Each Bag features a YKK zipper and is made from start to finish by me in my home studio on Bainbridge Island in WA state.
Cactus leather is made using the skins of leaves from a cactus plant. To make this bio-material, only the mature leaves are harvested, keeping the core of the cacti intact, meaning in 6-8 months the leaves will have grown back and the cacti can be re-harvested. The cacti are organically grown and do so in their natural habitat, meaning no irrigation system or chemicals are used to grow cacti. To produce the material it's combined with a thick canvas backing and a protective glaze to give it a leather like finish. These materials are not PVC or vinyl and will not crack or glaze over time. They are water resistant and will maintain their look and feel for years to come.
Bag measurements: 6.5" wide X 8" High and approximately 2 1/2" deep.
Strap adjusts approximately from 28" to 57" in length and is 3/4" wide and can be adjusted to be worn on either side and or be removed from the bag entirely.
