Apple Snap Pouch
This project is a collaboration between friends and long distance maker besties, Eling of Migration Goods, Leeanna Butcher of Plush Goodness and Jill of JMB Handbags. This is our second long distance collaboration for 2020 & we're super excited about how this project turned out! Apple faces painted on individually by hand by Eling, Zip Pouches cut & sewn by Jill & masks sewn by Leeanna. Fabric designed by Eling.
This listing is for a special edition coin purse snap pouch sewn by John Met Betty, apple face painted by Eling. The top closure snaps open and closed with an internal pinch frame, which provides a very secure, thin and lightweight closure. The perfect size to toss in a larger bag to keep smaller valuables safe & secure. These pouches are constructed with eco friendly fabrics made from recycled materials, mixed with salvaged scraps from my studio. Each apple is slightly different, to make your selection, choose which emotion you would like from the drop down menu.
We're splitting the proceeds from 100% of sales made from this collaboration between Native American and Farmworker charities. November is Native American History month and we've chosen an organization that provides Covid relief to Native nonprofit organizations and tribal programs that need it most. The Farmworker relief fund we chose with Thanksgiving in mind. We felt it was important to recognize the many women in this country who continue to work under difficult conditions, and are some of the most vulnerable to the Covid-19 pandemic.
